Please, Don’t Be BoReD!
So much LIFE swirling around in my head means that I eat myself into, well, not oblivion, but a spot near the kitchen. Specifically my desk. I take photos, put them magically into the computer (i knoooow, that’s NOT a very technological term), edit the photos, admire some of them, wish I’d done a better job over others, eat, read e-mails, eat, read a bit of InYourFacebook, eat, throw clothes into the washing machine, do some dishes, run errands that have to do with getting my parents and older sis moved here to Podunk, go to the big city with hubby for his Dr. appointment to see if his Graves disease is a hopeless case (seems to be sometimes), come home, eat, get up and babysit Grandwonders, go outside and sniff some pretty awesome Autumn air, come in and sit back down in my chair and dream about how life would be if I was in charge of everything. And then POW. SOMEbody (you all know who you are), posts SOMEthing that stabs my heart and I find myself emotionally falling out of my chair and groping around on the floor for the pieces of my heart that you have stabbed with the words and photos that I actually NEEDED to see. Thank you (all) so very much for getting on here and posting what you do because you remind me that there is hope. There IS life. There IS LOVE. There IS someONE ALways there. And all of that is waaaay beyond me and my little chair at the little white desk by the kitchen with my little food and my big feelings. I love you all SO much!

Great post!
I loved the “Inyourfacebook” I’m going to start saying that one!
@thechaplainsdaughter - Hey, Cutie! Yeah, sometimes it is that way: people get IN YOUR FACE on there. Not so bad in my “book” but I’ve seen it in others’.
@Richgem - I know exactly what you mean!
I love your spunk! I love eating too. I like that you call your grandkids grandwonders
That’s an amazing photo! Is fall in the air where you’re at? Only heat and dust were I’m sitting. Don’t you love our online sisters?! I know I do…
( 8 Fall IS in the air now, at least here in the mountains. The dramatic change in temperature happened in one day. I feel sad for you that you’re still in the dusty heat. That’s an unpleasant and uncomfortable place to be in. Last Sat. night we had to drive through a dust/dirt storm in Phoenix. It was spooky and I couldn’t WAIT to get out of there! And YES, I DO love our online sisters!
wow, beautiful photo of the waterfall! I do love you, and our other online sisters to! It would be neat to be in and out of one another’s house each day or week…and we are! How cool is that. As well as seeing some things in one anothers hearts
. Hugs to you, and hoping and praying for Rich to have a good report, for you, the Fam.
It never ceases to amaze me how I can pop online and someone will say something that I really needed to hear or post a pic of something I really needed to see. I agree, it’s a reminder that I am not all alone on this thing in my corner of the world. There are some wonderful awesome friends out there that *do* care. We’re blessed! (((hugs)))
I didn’t know your hubby has Graves disease. My son-in-law has it. First he had a heart problem and had to have 2 stents put in. Then the docs said they had to zap his thyroid. They over-zapped it and he’s had Graves for several years now. The worst part of it was when his eyes swelled and were red and sore. That lasted for a couple of years. They’re still a bit sore, but not nearly as bad as they were. He was on steroids for way longer than you’re supposed to be. He may still be on a small dosage but I got tired of asking. He needs to stop smoking and has tried but hasn’t succeeded yet. He’s in his early 40′s.
InYourFacebook?!!! love it! though i almost choked on my popcorn.
i am sorry for that he has grave’s disease…and glad for all the love that you share with us.
love much back.
Emotionally falling out of my chair, I understand. I love how we can all relate to one another, no matter what’s on our plate. So thankful for my xanga friends.
The pic, any details for us? It’s beautiful!
I always look for the “oldtimer xangains” to post on here. Was glad ot know you’re still around too. Have a good day.
I came over here after seeing your post on Grace 4 him…Amber’s blog
Your words echoed in my heart about not being on the same page as our husbands….sigh…I could do a whole lot better in that department!
I’m Melissa living in SC, I’m 43 just gave birth 3 weeks ago to my 6th child…I have one daughter, my oldest at 9 years of age and the rest are all boys 6,5,3,1.5 …….I’ve been married for 10 years now…..loved your post here about how the words of others get us where need to feel it!!! I hope you are having a blessed day!!
Melissa
love you too my dear!!! there IS hope…i so love my dear xanga friends, they have given me so much over the years i’ve been on here. many closer then some of my friends in real life could ever be…probably because i take the time (after much time) to strive to be vulnerable and to love that in others as well…and to uplift them in the midst of this. love you Gail!
@ABAHM - Yes, we RAE in and out of one another’s house each day or week! It’s a great way to visit! ( 8 Thank you for the needed hugs and prayers.
@SealedbyGrace - I love how we can crawl into each other’s corner and empathize, sympathize, encourage!
@ata_grandma - I feel bad for your son-in-law! It’s not easy living with this, but thankfully, Hubby is researching everything he can get his hands on. He is probably a vicitm of beaing a “downwinder”, since his family lived down wind from nuclear testing in Nevada. His whole family has suffered as a result. He refuses to be zapped so far!
@down_onthefarm - Oh dear, my Dearie! Don’t eat popcorn while reading Xanga! ( 8 As for Hubby and the Grave’s, when you saw him, he was actually doing okay…just tired and hungry. Ever since we got home from our trip, it’s been a pretty steady Not So Great. Some days are better than others, though! Thanks for the Love!
@WildWomanOfTheWest - I’m pretty sure I’ve pictured you falling out of your chair that way, many times! As for the waterfall photo…I shot it on Sunday (the 11) while at that particular local lake for a photo shoot. It was a gorgeous, “lucky” moment as we had thunderstorms trolling around in the area, playing tag with the sun! God is so nice to me; giving me these “gift” shots.
@MadraysGarden - And Iiiii, who think of you all the time, am glad YOU are still around!!!!!!!!!!!!
and btw. that picture is gorgeous!!!
@Missionfieldof5 - I am sending you a big invisible hug right here and now! You are at the age that I was when I was pregnant with my 4th child who turned out to be a tubal pregnancy that didn’t survive. I nearly died. It was a sad situation. But I came through with a new appreciation for older pregnant moms (NOT that 43 is old!!!) and a great sensitivity for anyone who has miscarried. You hopefully, are taking one moment at a time and I will be praying for your needs to be met. I got to a point where I asked God to take certain needs away, or help me see the way that HE is providing for me, to glorify Him! Sometimes He doesn’t answer me right away. He’s doing His work His way, in His time. I just hafta wait and trust. Ha! Easier said than done, BUT, well worth the waiting and trusting!
@down_onthefarm - Thank you, Sweety. It’s a fabulous spot!
@mytoesareblue - ( 8
@mytoesareblue - This whole xanga friendship has helped me be a better in person friend; being real and open to absolutely EVerybody!
bored with you…???
NEVER.
Yay for friends who change our focus and put it on Him! Wishing for some fall weather. It’s got to show up some time right?
@grace_to_be - What a great friend you are! Hugs!
@redladybug18 - Brianne told me it rained for about 15 minutes over there today and it was cloudy. Does thaat mean it’s Fall now, or was it a late summer storm? { 8
@Richgem - that just means it rained and a cool front came through.
Any fall we get usually doesn’t show up till late Oct or Nov.
@redladybug18 - Oh wow, okay! That’s kind of like Phoenix. Where I live, we actually get a real Fall and it is mildly beginning to hit.. I LOVE it!
Dear Xanga friend, your writings are always a “rich gem”. I am sorry your husband’s health is bad, must be a tremendous concern. If you recall my Fritz had/has a terrible case of shingles beginning last Jan. He still has nerve pain and this has taken a great toll on him. I know it is not life threatening but it has aged him greatly to have such pain. He has always been so strong and so healthy, it has been a big tough reality for him to deal with.
Xanga certainly opened up the big wide world for me way back in 2005 when I faced a tremendous heart break.
Take care my friend!
@Lucy_or_Ethel - I do rememberr that your Fritz had Shingles…now that my mom has had Shingles, I understand how dreadfully painful it is and I wish it would just finally go AWAY! The Graves has definately made an impact here but we’re learning to cope and live with it. As with Fritz, the illness does make one age. My hubby used to be strong and energetic…he could outwork 3 young people, easily. We are so blessed to have our xanga friends who support and encourage us!
Loved your post I wonder sometimes how God does all of this and then I think why wonder just enjoy the Love He brings to each of us, Just Fall of your Chair and have a wonderful day!
Blessings and thank you again for a wonderful post!
@Shepherdsfold - I love that…”why wonder, just enjoy the love”! You’re so right!!! Enjoy the love! I do emotionally fall out of my chair often. Probably should pad the floor. { ;
congrats on winning april’s giveaway.. that’s awesome!!

@Hutch5 - You are so awfully nice to say that! Now, I hope YOU win something! ( 8
