  • Soon, Very Soon

    058edit

My “baby” girl will be H O M E! I cannot wait! It took me 2 months before I really began to miss her and I think that’s because I had so much “else” going on. Now that the “else” has settled down, I can feel a bit more normal. ….~~~~~…. well, new normal. And BAM, from the depths of my heart came this ache for my daughter.  Bits of  hours and chunks of days go by and I realize more often that each moment is a stepping stone that gets me closer to where I’d like to be….a thorough appreciation for all the physical and spiritual stretch marks, a maturity and a peace that can only come from life experience. And thankfully, my God takes care of all my needs, every single one of them.

  • Oh, my — I know that “can’t wait” feeling!  I’m so glad you’ll be together for the holiday!  Have a wonderful, wonderful time!  Hope all is now going well.

  • Very nice shot of you gals! Beautiful.
I know the feeling and yes the Lord meets each of our needs doesn’t He!  Enjoy your time with your precious girl.

  • Hope your time together once she’s back is everything you hope for. Enjoy your day today.

  • what a fantastic photo! i love you. your outfits. the brick. all of it.

hahaha with a few tears on that “new normal.” so much of life is adjusting to that very thing. glad for your daughter’s homecoming…and His faithfulness in our seasons. love ya.

  • This is beautiful, you both are beautiful~   I’m a bit giddy for you!

  • @slmret - And Janet, I hope you have a FABulous time in the land of hula and pineapples and volcanoes and beaches and no doubt, great seafood! Oh and great photo-ops! Hugs to you!

  • @Lucy_or_Ethel - Thank you so much! I WILL enjoy our time together!

  • @MadraysGarden - Me, too! Though, I’ve learned to be realistic and  save my expectations for something/someone else. I’ve also been a bit better at keeping my frustration under the radar so as to not spoil a get-together. She’s really been good for me…chasing me to Jesus to ask for his help! And on the flip side, she really can be a dear girl.

  • @down_onthefarm -  Yes, that new normal can really get us if we let it. I’m pushing forward, seeing that it’s the way to go, rather than run away or curl up in Fetal…having Brianne home will put a spark in everybody’s life here! And before we blink, she’ll be back in TX.! I LOVE you, too and I feel those tears! Reach for God’s hankie! (i know…easier said than done)!

  • @WildWomanOfTheWest - Thank you, dear girl! I love that you can feel giddy about this! I get to jumpin’ up and down, clappin’ my hands kinda giddy! When I do that, I worry afterwards that people thought I was immature or weird or silly. But I just can’t help it.

  • I think that anyone of us who has a daughter can relate to that feeling.  I love the picture.  Enjoy the time with your girl!

RYC: Well I feel that we need to at least fight for our cause, we may not win but at least we didn’t just lay down & quit. I pray he gets it…& I hope & pray your hubby gets his. It’s not fair, but what is now a days in this dreaded country of ours…so sad. & yet so glad that I still believe God is in control. I leave it in his hands.
