Spring is springing here and we’re supposed to have snow this weekend. Enough for the weather report!
Hubby is healing beautifully from his elbow surgery and the Physical Therapist is WAY impressed with the elbow’s healthy condition. Enough for the health report.
My college children will be coming home soon for Spring Break and I am beyond happy that they have chosen Home as their Spring Break destination. Enough for kid news.
Photography for me is poking along, as far as the business end goes; people around here can’t afford to pay. So, we trade when possible. Free hair cut and highlights for free prom photos of hairstylist’s daughter, etc. Enough for trading for photography.
As the trials in life are becoming unbearable for so many people (directly and indirectly), God is holding them. I believe he’s not just “by my side” as some “Christian Contemporary” song lyrics suggest. He is all the way around me and in me because I believe in him. That’s the Word, the Truth. And…that is enough.

“all the way around…and in…”
so true and so comforting, isn’t it? you remind of a verse HE keeps bringing up,
that HE is my “rear guard.” He has my back! and “Christ in me—the hope of glory.”
yay. that He is enough.
we are having snow too! it’s ended up being more rain than snow. bummers.
but the kids are home today because of it which has been a fun break in the middle of the week.
good news that the patient is recovering well! and that college kids are heading home. that too.
love to you gail!
AMEN!
@down_onthefarm - I have loved that “rear guard” verse ever since a friend brought it to my attention when I was going through a fearful time! It gives me such a sense of peace! Will the rain cause icy roads in your neck of the woods? That’s what happens here when we get rain instead of snow and it freezes at night. I.DO.NOT.LIKE.ICE!!!!! Be safe, my dear! Hugs!
That’ll preach!
me too about the peace and rest with that verse. and i don’t like ice either!
but nope. no ice. howabout you? today is sunny and very windy. thanks for being like my sis. <3
I love the picture. So simple yet so pretty. I’m kind of at a stall in the photography dept. There’s only so many pictures you can take of brown and white outside. Can’t wait till spring when life reappears. I suppose I could create some beauty. I’ll have to muster energy and creativity. ((hugs)) to you.
I love when that is enough.
And I think that is wonderful that your kids choose YOU for spring break!
@down_onthefarm - I think I should adopt you as a sis. I could easily add another one to my family! <3 We had wind and sun today, too! I was at my son and daughter-in-love’s house today to help out and went outside with the kiddos. I realized that the nice hair-do I showed up in was a crazy vain thing to do. It sounds like our weather is rolling in tomorrow night. I’m praying for a light, warm rain. HA! I was watching the report for the east coast. I hope it doesn’t hit you or my Philly family hard. My aunt is in the hospital and my cousins have to be out driving in weather to see her. NO fun! Hugs to you!
@MadraysGarden - You can imagine how excited I am to have color appear in my yard! These 2 bushes are my joy and the fact that they have budded despite crazy weather is amazing to me. You can go out (when you get the energy) and do the pictures of blah brown things and give them a sepia tone effect. Look for contrast and texture. I KNOW you can do it! ( 8
My hubby trades work. We have had quite a few construction projects done during the trade. We need it as our home is 50 yrs old and always in need of something…
This has been the oddest spring ever. One day it’s 80 and the next it’s in the 30′s at night. crazy! Beautiful picture!
I agree, so many people just don’t want to pay for photography any more.
Yes, I’m so glad God isn’t just there, he through and in everything!
random question. So I stumbled on this site called Summit leaders expeditions and the one guy who leads it is Pastor steve lummer. and the reason that means anything is that it said he was a pastor in Prescott and i thought of you right away! it said he is pastor at the first assembly of God (now called Discovery Church). I know that Arizona’s a bit place just thought i’d throw it out there that you might have heard of him before. Wanted to let you know that you’re on my mind, glad to hear the kiddos are home for a break. hope you had the best time ever with them. love you gail!
@VallejoGirl - Our house is also 50 years old. I need to find a quality builder to trade with so we can getnew windows, a new septic system, etc….. (it never ends).
@redladybug18 - That is odd spring weather, although we’ve had a bit of the same. Snow a few days ago and now 70 and sunny. The wonderful thing about Photography is that even if people don’t want to pay for our work, we can still delight in what we do and glorify God. Hugs to you!
@mytoesareblue - Did it say he’s from Prescott, Arizona? There are a few Assemblies churches here but none are listed as Discovery…not unless the one Assembly of God church absolutely JUST changed the name. There is a Brenda Lummer in the phone book. Small world! My kids get home here this Saturday and I am already biting off the skin around my nails with the anticipation! Could you pray for their safety as they and 2 friends drive the 18 hours, beginning this Friday? Thank you! You have been on my mind as well and I care so very much about you!
