Spent. But MoVinG right along…
The garden called its 911 and I answered. I came with the big fork and determination. Pulling, pushing, yanking, dumping, spreading, sweating and finally, I figured out what to do this year. And that was just the garden.
My body called 911 (not really) and I answered. I worked out hard, I ate reasonably well, and then I took the WHOLE weekend off, except for raking and sweeping. My intentions are usually REALLY good. I WANT to DO this weight loss. But when Hubby goes shopping and comes home with rolls and peanut M&Ms, and we have friends come over for dessert, I get weak. A LITTLE weak. So, I fear the scale tonight. I fear the gadget that counts my BMI and some other thing. We want those numbers to go down! I fear for my knees and what all will be required of the poor things, Well, I’d better get moving along to Home Depot so I can buy a can of yellow paint for my vintage door and pruners for the little elm trees that are growing crazily right behind the house.

I havent had a good week either as far as eating goes…lots more sweets this week and I can tell it! YUCK. Even had to eat a regular beef cheeseburger instead of turkey last night and it just about made me GAG!
@victoriantomboy - Oh, I’m sorry to hear that! I guess we do need the occasional gag, bad experience to remind us how good GOOD food tastes and that GOOD food doesn’t hit us badly later on! ( 8
@Richgem - you got THAT right!!!!
Right there with you on the “weight loss” issue. I just have one question…”They can put a man on the moon, invent microwave ovens, cell phones, computers, etc… why can’t they come up with a calorieless Peanut M&M???????”

@AbidingontheVine - Your one question is one of those “Question of the Century” questions! ( 8
@down_onthefarm - Yes, I’m really working on it…it’s NOT easy, but being chubby and feeling yucky wasn’t easy either! I love my old door that I picked up and painted. It’ll look great in the background of photos!
@Mymanyblessings - I hope you had a good walk time today, Linda! Every little movement helps, I know! We can DO this! I’ll get back to the garden tomorrow afternoon, I hope! My little Grandgirl Grace is having her 6th birthday tomorrow! There’s always something to celebrate!
Love the photo. I have so many things I need to do outdoors, but keep putting it off. I really have to lose weight, too! I’m doing Weight Watcher’s and I love it. I can eat regular food and I’ve been able to lose some.
I’d love to see your painted door. Sounds gorgeous!
Have you read “Made to Crave” by Lisa TerKeurst? I’m finishing it now. It’s very good. You are a beautiful lady and I admire you for taking care of yourself.
@SealedbyGrace - Thank you, my friend! I did Weight Watchers twice. Lost a chunk of weight one of those times. All the weighing and calorie counting was too tedious for me. So, I quit. I know what to do and I know what to avoid. Writing it down, so that I can remember tomorrow what I ate today helps, too! But, I get tired of all that writing everything down stuff, too! Am I lazy or A.D.D. or what?
@TrentTribe - You’re a sweety! No, I haven’t read that but have heard of it. Maybe I should pick one up!
